Job opportunity... Project Development Worker (Wales Team) Salary £3232 for 16 hours per week for 26 weeks. Based primarily in Wales (Ceredigion, Pembrokeshire, Carmarthenshire) for the six months with training given, possibilities of building on this to secure permanent post. There is an opportunity for a Development Worker to work as part of a team making a difference to young people whose parents or guardians are of a nomadic habit of life. The project, called Cloud 10, attempts to support and encourage young Travellers aged 16-20 to upgrade their skills and gain employment. A basic level of IT would be an advantage as the successful employee will be responsible for maintaining accurate records throughout the entire project for Annual Reports and funders. Wind Generators, Solar Panels, PV's, managing battery Funding from BBC Children In Need has provided the TSC with a budget to provide six training events a year for Travellers (until march 2006). Take this opportunity to learn about setting up a system, run a computer or fix up some low voltage lighting. The aim of the project is to encourage and support individuals to use renewable energy to provide independant power for educational lap top use for as many Travellers as possible.
